The HeartWarmer has been specially designed to be heated in the microwave or chilled in the freezer for soothing temperature therapy. It is filled with whole buckwheat seeds. Buckwheat seeds are the fruit (or achene) of the buckwheat plant (fagopyrum esculentum). The seeds posses the special property of retaining transferring heat/cold for up to 30 minutes.

The HeartWarmer is designed to be easy to care for and it's removable cover can be machine washed in cold and tumble dried low. Do not wash liner/filling!

For Heat Therapy: Microwave 2 minutes. If not warm enough; continue heating in 10-second increments. Do not overheat, and always touch test before using. When re-heating cut your heating time in half. Warning! Do not overheat; risk of fire!

For Cold therapy: Seal in a plastic bag and place in freezer for 2 hours or more. Can be stored in freezer.
