How do I reset my password?
Simply sign in and go to your account and select change profile and insert a new password in the password field and insert it again in the confirm field. Then click update--your password will be updated the next time you sign in.
What's inside my Bucky?
Bucky uses only natural grain fillings in our pillows. Your pillow may be filled with whole buckwheat, buckwheat hulls, millet hulls, flax seeds or other botanicals. Please see product description for specific details.
Why does Bucky use buckwheat hulls?
Buckwheat hulls are lightweight and durable and adjust easily to fit the contours of your body. Their unique triangular shape allows the hulls to lock together to provide firm, even, restful support. Buckwheat hulls allow constant air circulation through the pillow, keeping you cool and dry. Those with allergies to feathers or synthetics will appreciate buckwheat's hypo-allergenic nature. Unlike other pillow fillings, buckwheat hulls (and millet hulls!) do not compress under pressure. This reduces stress on your head and neck. Best of all, buckwheat is natural AND environmentally friendly.
Why does Bucky use millet hulls?
Millet is best known as bird seed in America, but this tiny, nutritious grain is eaten daily by many cultures. Milling millet releases the half-spherical hulls from the seed. The hulls are smooth and durable, able to support the weight of your head without losing shape. Millet hulls are a good choice for those who have never owned a hull-filled pillow. They're quiet and slightly heat conserving. Like buckwheat, millet is hypo-allergenic. Millet hulls are also rich in silicic acid which, when released through body heat, can soothe muscle pain, stimulate the metabolism and improve the immune system.
Will the fillings break down?
Buckwheat hulls, millet hulls, and flax seeds are durable and will give years of exquisite comfort with normal use of your pillow.
Does Bucky use buckwheat hulls that are sprayed with pesticides?
Our buckwheat hulls are pesticide and herbicide free, as these are not needed when farming buckwheat. We also use no chemicals or radiation in the cleaning of our hulls.
How does Bucky clean their Buckwheat?
Once the buckwheat is received at our processing plant, we send it through several machines to remove any dirt, weeds and chaff. This is achieved by using various grain cleaning equipment including gravity tables, negative aspirators, precision graders and screening machines. After the seed is cleaned, the purity is raised to 99.98%. To get it to 100% the whole buckwheat seed is then ran through a rotating roasting machine which cooks the groats (inner portion of seed).
After the grain cools, it is run through an impact mill to extract the cooked groat (kasha). This simple machine uses air to accelerate the grain into a steel plate to dislodge the groat. The cooked groats and fine pieces are separated from the hulls. At this point the hulls are collected into a very large sealed bin. As soon as enough hulls have accumulated, they are run through the equipment again to ensure the highest quality cleaned hulls.
Other methods of milling buckwheat include crushing the buckwheat seed between two steel rollers and extracting the flour from the smashed seed. This produces an inferior hull as flour residue gets wedged into the corner of the hulls.
I have an allergy to wheat. Can I use a buckwheat pillow?
Buckwheat is not wheat. In fact it's not even a true grain. The buckwheat seed is actually the achene of a grass-like plant (related to rhubarb) thought to have originated thousands of years ago in Asia. It contains no gluten and is safe for those with gluten allergies.
Are buckwheat hulls hypo-allergenic?
Yes! Less than .016% of people have a reaction to buckwheat hull pillows. That's 1 in 6000. Those who do experience this extremely rare reaction can expect itchy throat, watery eyes, runny nose. If you experience any of the above symptoms, discontinue use.
Do grain hull pillows attract dust mites?
Buckwheat & millet hulls are naturally pest resistant. After all, it's the hull's job to protect the tender groat (inner seed) from insects, fungus & mildew. Your pillow should provide years of pest-free comfort with regular use. You can freeze your pillow over night every 1-2 years to assure harmful organisms are kept to a minimum, however this is not usually necessary. If you plan on storing your pillow for extended periods of time, it is a good idea to vacuum seal it in a bag or freeze it overnight once a month.
How do I clean my Bucky?
Read and carefully follow the care instructions found on packaging or on the care label sewn to the pillow. NEVER wash any grain or grain hull filling. If you are uncertain as to how to clean your Bucky, please call our customer service department for more information.
Is my Bucky adjustable?
Most of our grain hull pillows are easily adjusted by opening the zippers in the cover and liner and altering the amount of filling. You should save any filling you remove until you are sure of best comfort and size.
Please note the liners in our Kids' Collection are sewn shut for child safety and are not adjustable. Hotties and other temperature therapy items such as Serena are designed without zippers and therefore are not adjustable.
Can I purchase a new cover for my pillow?
We do sell replacement covers for most of our pillows in our current line. If you would like to inquire about a new cover for your Bucky, please contact our customer service department.

I don't see a certain product or fabric on your website anymore. Can I still get one?
From time to time Bucky may add or remove products or fabrics from our line. This can happen for a variety of reasons. If you don't see something listed on the website, chances are it's no longer available. If you would like to inquire about a Bucky, please contact our customer service department.
Can I microwave my Bucky?
Our hull pillows (All Travel, Kids, and Bed Pillows) are designed to provide unsurpassed comfort without heating, and can not be microwaved. This is because the metal zipper pulls on the cover and liner that make your pillow adjustable could cause a fire when heated in a microwave. Unlike rice or whole seeds, grain hulls are empty and will not retain heat for any length of time.
Our Spa and Gift items, which includes the Neckwrap, Bodywrap, Heartwarmer, HotWaterBottle, Serena, Eyelove and now our kids' Woopsise are designed for hot and cold therapy. They contain whole buckwheat seeds, without zippers or metal parts and can be safely microwaved. However, please do not heat the aromatherapy sachets. The essential oils used to scent the sachet can cause the Hottie to burn in the microwave. For best results, tuck the aromatherapy sachet into the Hottie after it is heated.

Please note that if your microwave does not have a rotating dish, you should flip your Hottie over halfway through heating time to ensure even heat distribution. When re-heating your Hottie, cut heating time in half. Do not heat aromatherapy sachet.
What if my Hottie is not warm enough?
Continue heating in 10 second increments.
How do I chill my Hottie, EyeLove or Woopsie?
Place your Hottie, EyeLove or Woopsie in a plastic bag in the freezer for 2 hours or overnight to chill it.
How long will my Hottie, EyeLove or Woopsie stay warm/cold?
Bodywrap, Neckwrap and Hot Water Bottle retain heat/cold for 30 minutes. Serena Spa Mask, EyeLove and Woopsie retain heat/cold for 20 minutes.
What's in my aromatherapy sachet?
Bucky's Flower Power Aromatherapy Sachet contains pure essential oils of lavender, sandalwood and vanilla. Please do not microwave the sachet. The essential oils used to scent the sachet can cause the sachet to burn in the microwave. For best results, tuck the aromatherapy sachet into the Hottie after it is heated.
What is Bucky's Domestic and International return policy?
RETURNS
Products may be returned for a refund within 30 days FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. Sorry, products are not refundable after 30 days FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. Items that have been damaged by use cannot be returned. Additionally, products returned in a dirty / soiled condition will not be accepted. Products must be either unused (unused items need to be returned in their original packaging) or cleaned per the cleaning instructions prior to return.
Defective items may be returned for exchange (no handling fee will be charged for defective returns) within 15 days FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
If a product is returned due to wrong / undeliverable shipping address provided, the account will be credited the cost of the product only, not the cost of shipping. Online specials are subject to the same return policy. Free items are excluded from return policy and are not eligible to be returned.
A $10.00 handling fee will be assessed on each returned item (except defective product exchanges). Shipping charges on returns are not refundable.
We are unable to refund any fees imposed by third party entities (not Bucky, Inc.) such as customs fees on international shipments as an example).
REFUNDS
You should expect to receive the refund (less shipping and handling fees) within four weeks of handing the shipment off to your shipper of choice. This time period includes transit time (5 to 10 business days), return processing here at Bucky once the items is received (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your credit card provider to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). In many cases refunds are processed and completed more quickly however.
RETURN PROCEDURE
To initiate a return, you must request an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number from Bucky. Returns received at Bucky without an RMA number will not be processed. The RMA number must be written on the outside of the box before sending. To get an RMA number, please call 1-800-692-8259. Shipping charges on returns are the responsibility of the sender of the return.
